Biography
Bahman Mohammadi was born in Hamedan, Iran in 1985. He received his BFA and MFA in Painting in Tehran. Besides four solo shows in Tehran since 2004, Mohammadi’s work have been exhibited in more than 50 group shows, nationally and internationally, including Ethan Cohen Gallery, New York, The Museum of Contemporary Art of Tehran, Etemad, and Mah Art Gallery in Tehran among many others. He was awarded in the Seventh Iranian Painting Biennial in 2009 as well as others. Bahman was the jury in the first and second Hamedan Painting Biennial. He is one of the members of The Society of Iranian Painters and the honorary member of the Institute for the Promotion of Contemporary Visual Art in Iran. Mohammadi’s practice revolves around the matters related to “Human” and “Human Being” such as birth, nurture, social constructions, evolution etc. He currently lives and works in Tehran.
